Does FitSpresso Have Caffeine? Plus Your Daily Caffeine Budget
FitSpresso is marketed around coffee, so its caffeine content matters. The label lists no added caffeine, but it does contain green tea extract. Here is what that means and how to keep your daily total in a safe range.

Does FitSpresso contain caffeine?
FitSpresso’s label does not list caffeine. It does contain 150 mg of green tea extract standardised to 98% polyphenols. Unless an extract is decaffeinated, it usually retains some caffeine, and NCCIH notes that labels only need to declare added caffeine, not caffeine naturally present in green tea. The label also does not say the extract is decaffeinated. So the honest answer is: probably a little, amount not stated. Given that 98% of the extract is polyphenols, any caffeine is likely small, far below a cup of coffee. If you need an exact figure, ask the seller on 1-877-607-7721.
How much caffeine is safe?
According to NIH, the FDA and European Food Safety Authority consider up to 400 mg a day unlikely to cause safety concerns in healthy adults. Adolescents are advised to stay under 100 mg. NCCIH notes up to about 300 mg a day may be safe in pregnancy and breastfeeding, though FitSpresso itself is not suitable in pregnancy because of berberine.
| Drink | Approximate caffeine |
|---|---|
| Brewed coffee, 8 oz (240 ml) | 85–100 mg (NIH estimate) |
| Large coffee-shop brewed coffee, 16 oz | Often 2–3 times a standard cup |
| Brewed green tea, 1 cup | About 45 mg (NIH estimate) |
| Decaf coffee | A small amount; not zero |
| FitSpresso, 2 capsules | Not stated; likely small (green tea extract) |
Signs of too much caffeine
NIH lists sleep disturbance, nervousness, jitteriness and shakiness; higher doses can cause nausea and a racing heart. If you notice palpitations, anxiety or poor sleep, cut back on coffee first.
Caffeine and weight
Caffeine raises energy use slightly, and NIH notes green tea catechins seem to work only alongside caffeine. But regular drinkers build tolerance and long-term effects on weight appear small. See coffee and weight loss.
Practical tips for FitSpresso users
- Count your cups. Two or three standard cups keeps most adults well under 400 mg, even allowing for the capsules.
- Take FitSpresso with breakfast, not on an empty stomach, because of the green tea extract.
- Stop caffeine by early afternoon. Ginseng can also affect sleep.
- Do not stack stimulants such as pre-workouts or energy drinks.
- Check medicines: green tea may reduce nadolol levels.

Who should limit caffeine more strictly
People with heart rhythm problems, uncontrolled high blood pressure, anxiety, reflux or insomnia should ask their doctor about a safe level.
