The dosage on the label
Suggested use: take 2 capsules daily with an 8 oz glass of water, or as directed by a healthcare professional. Each bottle contains 60 capsules, or 30 servings. Do not exceed the label amount; that would raise your chromium above 1,000 mcg and add more berberine, alpha-lipoic acid and green tea extract.
With food
The label does not say whether to take FitSpresso with food. We suggest taking it with breakfast: NIH notes green tea extracts are best taken with food rather than on an empty stomach, and food reduces the digestive upset that berberine and alpha-lipoic acid can cause.
Best time of day
Morning is best. Ginseng and any caffeine from the green tea extract can affect sleep. You may split the dose (one capsule at breakfast, one at lunch) if that suits your stomach better; the daily total stays the same.
With coffee
Coffee is optional; the label says water. If you drink coffee, keep total caffeine under about 400 mg a day. See our caffeine guide.
Timing around medicines
- Levothyroxine: chromium can reduce absorption; ask your doctor how far apart to take them.
- Quinolone or tetracycline antibiotics: take the antibiotic at least 2 hours before or 4 to 6 hours after FitSpresso (because of zinc).
- Diabetes medicines: only with your doctor’s agreement and glucose monitoring.
If you miss a dose
Skip it and take your next serving at the usual time. Do not double up.
How long to take it
Studies of the main ingredients typically ran 8 to 24 weeks. Plan for at least 8 to 12 weeks before deciding, within the guarantee window. See the results timeline.
